A speculated $11 million annual partnership between the Mercedes Formula 1 team and the renowned German sportswear brand Adidas is on the verge of being officially confirmed.
Back in April, it was reported that with Lewis Hamilton set to join Ferrari next year, Mercedes would need to find new fashion sponsors to replace Puma and Tommy Hilfiger for 2025 onwards.
It soon became evident that Adidas would likely take over, especially as the 'three-stripe' brand is ending its long-standing partnership with the German football association DFB.
"From 2025, Adidas will equip the Mercedes Formula 1 team," Germany's Bild newspaper now asserts, even though the agreement hasn't been officially announced yet.
"But according to our information, the deal is fixed. The sports goods manufacturer is said to have already presented the first designs to the team," the report added.
