Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone believes that limiting the communication between teams and drivers over the radio is a good move.
The new rules, which prevent engineers from giving their drivers advice during races, have been implemented by the FIA ahead of Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix.
"The drivers are all happy it's gone," BBC Sport quotes Ecclestone as saying. "They drive the cars, they should know what's wrong and right."
Nico Rosberg currently sits 22 points ahead of Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton in the drivers' championship standings.
