Lewis Hamilton has admitted that his weekend was a "disaster" after finishing in ninth place at the Italian Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver started in 12th position on the grid at Monza but failed to make any significant progress during the race itself as Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel clinched the victory.
"It was a difficult weekend," Hamilton told BBC Sport. "I am ninth, we should have been much further ahead I am very disappointed with myself.
"I blew it in qualifying and it was impossible to make up the places. Overall it was a disaster of a weekend."
The result leaves Hamilton 81 points behind leader Vettel in the standings with seven races left this season.
