Nico Rosberg has achieved his maiden Formula One victory after finishing ahead of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton in a pulsating Chinese Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver blitzed his way to pole on Saturday and never looked back, controlling the race from start to finish.
His nearest challenger in the opening half of the race was Button and the Englishman was set for a neck-and-neck finish with Rosberg, only to have an extended pit stop which effectively extinguished any chance of snatching victory.
Behind the pair there was an engrossing race with the top ten consistently separated by a matter of seconds.
Sebastian Vettel, who started a disappointing 11th, got right in the thick of it in the final 20 laps but was passed by Button, Hamilton and Webber before coming home in fifth place.
