Michael Schumacher believes that his poor run of luck at the Chinese Grand Prix could end at this weekend's race in Shanghai.
The Mercedes driver, who is a seven-time world champion, has a comparatively bad record at the track, having only won there on one occasion.
However, Schumacher is optimistic that he and his team can put that form behind him and offer a 'strong' performance this time around.
"I've never had much luck in Shanghai, apart from my win in 2006; however, that could change this year," he said.
"In the first two races of 2012, we didn't manage to maintain our qualifying pace in race conditions.
"We've been working intensively on this, so that we can offer our fans a strong performance in China."
Schumacher's last Formula 1 win came at the Shanghai International Circuit back in 2006.
