Lewis Hamilton: 'Australian Grand Prix just a small hiccup'

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton describes his retirement from today's Australian Grand Prix as a "small hiccup".

Lewis Hamilton has described his retirement from today's Australian Grand Prix as a "small hiccup".

The 2008 world champion began the first race of the 2014 season on pole, but he was forced to pull out early due to a misfiring cylinder.

"I was driving on five cylinders. It's a bit unfortunate but that's racing," he told Sky Sports News.

"We will recover from this. It's just a small hiccup, there's a long way to go."

Teammate Nico Rosberg went on to claim the chequered flag, securing Mercedes their 100th Formula 1 race win.
