Jenson Button will partner Fernando Alonso at McLaren next season, according to a report.
The team have decided to retain the 2009 world champion despite speculation that Kevin Magnussen was due to be selected at his expense, BBC Sport claims.
Button, who has raced for McLaren for the last four years, came to the end of his contract once the season was over, but will continue into a 16th season in the sport.
The 34-year-old is said to have signed a new one-year deal with the Woking-based outfit, on a salary believed to be around half of the £12m he was making in 2014.
Magnussen could reportedly be retained as the team's reserve driver for 2015.
McLaren will formally announce their decision at a press conference on Thursday.
