McLaren driver Jenson Button is adamant that he could have progressed into the top 10 shootout in qualifying for of the Monaco Grand Prix.
Button was hampered by yellow flags, which force the cars to slow down, on his final run and ended up finishing 12th.
He told reporters: "I lost a lot of time lifting for the yellow flag and I gained most of it back. I was only a tenth off my quickest lap so it would've easily been into the top 10.
"We are still a long way from the front but we are making good progress and we should be happy with what we are doing right now."
Reigning drivers' champion Lewis Hamilton will start on pole for tomorrow's race.
