Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen says that he is not dwelling on his collision with McLaren's Sergio Perez at the Monaco Grand Prix.

Kimi Raikkonen has insisted that his collision with Sergio Perez at the Monaco Grand Prix is a "distant memory".

The McLaren driver attempted to pass the Finn for fifth place late in the race, but made contact with Raikkonen's Lotus, resulting in him dropping to 10th.

The 2007 world champion told Autosport: "No-one wants to lose so many points thanks to the actions of another driver, but that race is over, Monaco is just a distant memory and I'm all ready for Canada.

"We had a bad result, that was clear for anyone to see. It could have been even worse, but it could have been much better as well.

"We came out with one point so at least we got something back after losing the solid fifth place, but that's not much consolation."

The Formula 1 season continues next weekend with the Canadian Grand Prix.
