Lotus Renault driver Kimi Raikkonen insists that he doesn't care where he finishes unless it is in first place.

Lotus Renault driver Kim Raikkonen has insisted that his team will keep trying to improve as they continue to search for their first victory of the season.

The 32-year-old has remained consistent throughout the Formula 1 season to currently sit in third place in the driver's championship but the Finnish driver has insisted that he does not care where he finishes if he does not win.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's Korean Grand Prix, Raikkonen told Autosport: "It doesn't matter if I am second or 10th, it makes no difference if you don't win.

"If you had said that we would be third in the championship at the beginning of the year, we would have taken it but once you do a little bit well, you expect to do better.

"We will keep trying and hopefully we can improve."

Raikkonen is currently 37 points behind championship leader Fernando Alonso in the driver's standings.
