Narain Karthikeyan has hit back at comments made about him by Sebastian Vettel in the wake of Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix.
The pair collided during lap 47 of the weekend's race in Sepang, resulting in Red Bull's Vettel receiving a puncture to his left rear tyre.
After the event, reigning world champion Vettel compared HRT's Karthikeyan to an idiot driver.
Karthikeyan has taken exception to the criticism, insisting that the German should know better.
"For a World Champion to say things like that is really shameful," the Indian driver told the Hindustan Times.
"It is really unprofessional. For a driver who has achieved so much to take out his frustrations on me just because he is having a difficult year is really sad. One does not expect a professional sportsman to be such a cry baby."
Karthikeyan finished the race in 22nd place, while Vettel claimed 11th position.
