Tost doubts Vettel will win fifth title

Franz Tost does not believe Sebastian Vettel will win a fifth world championship after switching to Aston Martin.
Some believe the move is a real coup for the team currently known as Racing Point, as the Lawrence Stroll-owned outfit looks to become a true top team.
But Alpha Tauri boss Franz Tost, who was also in charge when Vettel won his first race at Toro Rosso in 2008, doubts it.
"I hope and wish for him that he will be successful and able to win races," he told AvD Motorsport Magazin when asked about Vettel.
"But I do not think he will be able to compete for the championship with Aston Martin."
Former driver Christian Danner agrees, telling Sport1: "This is a team that drives in the midfield and will be taking on Franz Tost's team.
"Can he (Vettel) win races there? I'm very sceptical," he added. "But if he likes to race, then he should keep doing it."
Tost continues: "I think it's good that Sebastian stays in Formula 1 and has the passion to continue driving. He has enough money and four world titles, so he doesn't need to do it anymore."
Triple header races 'unsustainable' for F1

Triple header Formula 1 races are "unsustainable" for the future of the sport.
That is the claim of Racing Point boss Otmar Szafnauer, after an unprecedented run of nine grands prix in 2020 with just three 'non race' weekends in the same period.
"Everyone knows why we have to do that this season," he told Speed Week. "But if we told our people that this was the future too, I think the mechanics would run away.
"These sequences of three races in three weeks is unsustainable."
McLaren boss Andreas Seidl agrees: "I'm glad that the coming weeks will be a little more normal.
"This period of nine races in 11 weeks has been more intense than ever before. It drains people."
However, it is believed possible that with Liberty Media wanting to expand the calendar to 25 races in the future, 'triple headers' could become a permanent feature.
Seidl added: "It must be clear to Formula One Management that we have a very special situation this year, in which extraordinary circumstances force extraordinary measures to be taken.
"But it must be clear to everyone that three races in a row should not become the norm."
