It is no longer a mystery why Adrian Newey made a recent trip to Italy. Amid speculation about the obvious internal conflicts within Red Bull, the appearance of the acclaimed F1 engineer at Bologna airport, located merely an hour away from Maranello, sparked widespread discussion.

Nevertheless, Italy's Formula Passion clarified that the 65-year-old was not there to engage in discussions with Ferrari.

Instead, he "treated himself to a day on the track at Mugello," according to the report.

Although Mugello is a Ferrari property, Newey was dressed in Red Bull Racing attire and participated in a track day hosted by KR Motorsports, where he drove a variety of high-performance and GT vehicles.

Red Bull's esteemed chief technical officer is now anticipated to attend the upcoming Chinese GP in Shanghai.

"My top three for the sprint is Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz," predicted former F1 driver Giedo van der Garde on the DRS De Race Show podcast.

"I think Leclerc is quite eager to prove himself and show what he can do and the circuit may suit him well, so yes, I expect to see him in P2."
