Felipe Massa is hoping that this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix passes without incident for him.
The Brazilian driver, who failed to finish above fifth last year, has yet to win a point this season.
Having had a three-week break, the Ferrari driver is keen to make an impact in Shanghai.
"I really hope I can have a normal Grand Prix without problems, he told Ferrari's official website. That is fundamental to being able to finally get a good result.
"I know it won't be easy, also because I don't think we can expect any major new elements, at least in the short term. We will have to try and squeeze every last drop out of what we have."
Ferrari are reportedly considering parting company with Massa at the end of the campaign.
