Wolverhampton Wanderers "hopeful" of keeping Bakary Sako

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett says that the Championship club are confident of keeping hold of Bakary Sako.

Kenny Jackett has revealed that he is "hopeful" that Wolverhampton Wanderers will be able to retain the services of Bakary Sako beyond the end of the current season.

The winger's contract is due to expire next summer, which would allow him to join another club on a free transfer.

However, manager Jackett believes that the 26-year-old is "very happy" at Molineux.

"Yes we're hopeful [of keeping Sako]. He's very happy here. As the club keeps improving and competing at the top half of this league this will help us," the Express & Star has quoted Jackett as saying.

Sako joined Wolves from Saint-Etienne back in 2012.
