Wolverhampton Wanderers hand duo new deals

Wolverhampton Wanderers announce that Bright Enobakhare and Jon Flatt have both penned new deals to remain at the club.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have given new deals to striker Bright Enobakhare and goalkeeper Jon Flatt.

The news comes just a few days after the Midlands side tied down veteran midfielder Dave Edwards with a new long-term contract at Molineux.

"I am really pleased that Bright and Jon have both signed new contracts," manager Paul Lambert told the Wolves website. "I have said already that I think Bright is a real talent. He has a real chance here if he keeps his feet on the ground and keeps working hard and doing what he is doing.

"Jon is a good goalkeeper and although he is going to have to go some to dislodge the lads here at the moment, he also has big potential. We have got some very good young players here – this current group is really strong and these two lads are among that."

Enobakhare, who has signed a two-and-a-half year deal, added: "I was very pleased to get the new contract and also to have been involved in the first team. It has been a good experience for me and I just have to keep working and keep learning to get better.

"It is good that the new coach has picked me and is encouraging me and it is up to me now to show my potential. I feel confident at the moment and am enjoying playing and everyone is pushing me to get better."

Both Enobakhare and Flatt have featured as part of the Wolves academy side that has progressed to the third round of the EFL Trophy.
