Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Wolverhampton Wanderers are trying to sign Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore.
The 22-year-old, who is currently sidelined with a shoulder problem, scored five times and recorded 10 assists in 34 Championship appearances for Boro last term.
Recent media reports have claimed that Wolves have triggered Traore's £18m buyout clause, with a move to Molineux seemingly imminent.
"I think this is the first time I'm speaking about a player," Nuno told Sky Sports News on Tuesday.
"The whole summer I didn't do so. That way we avoid quite a lot of rumours and speculation. But yes, we are trying to sign Adama."
Traore moved to England from Barcelona in 2015, and has represented Aston Villa and Boro in both the Premier League and the Championship.
