Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has revealed that he wants to keep hold of defender Richard Stearman.
The 26-year-old, who has made 33 appearances for Wolves this season, will be out of contract in the summer.
Jackett has admitted that he would like to offer Stearman a new deal, despite the fact that the Molineux club will not hold contract talks with players until the end of the season.
"I think for everybody who's in contractual situations - barring any younger players beneath - we won't do anything until we know what division we're in," Jackett told the Express & Star.
"It's something we'll assess during the summer, but I've been very pleased with Richard and I see him as being part of the future.
"I think he's done very well. I've picked him on a consistent basis and it's been a good unit."
Wolves currently sit top of League One.
