The Football Association receives an appeal from Wolverhampton Wanderers over the red card that was given to Nenad Milijas.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have lodged an appeal with the Football Association over the red card that was handed to Nenad Milijas yesterday afternoon.

The Serbian midfielder received his marching orders for a tackle on Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta in the 75th minute at the Emirates Stadium.

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy revealed after the match that he would be keen for the club to challenge referee Stuart Attwell's decision.

A verdict is likely to be reached in time for Wolves' next Premier League fixture away at Bolton Wanderers.

McCarthy's side claimed a 1-1 draw against the Gunners despite Milijas's dismissal.
