Manager Stale Solbakken insists that he is still the right man to lead Wolverhampton Wanderers, despite the team's recent poor form.

Manager Stale Solbakken has insisted that he is still the right man to lead Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves have not won in their last nine Championship matches, but Solbakken is confident that his team's fortunes will improve sooner rather than later.

"I am full of confidence that I can turn it around," said Solbakken. "I am quite sure that I am the right man. I have no doubt about that. I don't think any players have that either. I think they are very much behind me.

"Football is a results business but I hope that I am here to bring success in the long-term and the short-term.

"When you have gone nine games without a win the most important thing is the next game."

Wolves currently sit 18th in the Championship table, having claimed 22 points from 19 games.

They face Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Saturday.
