Brendan Rodgers is confident that Mick McCarthy will end Wolverhampton Wanderers' poor run of results.

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has stated that Mick McCarthy will lead Wolverhampton Wanderers out of their poor run of results.

After winning the first three games of the season in all competitions, the Midlands side has had less impressive results, losing their last five league games.

Although Rodgers hopes that his side will triumph in tomorrow's clash between the teams at Molineux, he is confident that McCarthy can turn the campaign around.

"Every team has a run of games. [McCarthy] has done a brilliant job there and had periods like this before and always come out strong.

"Mick has done a wonderful job at Wolves in his time there in the Championship and taken them through. There have been great developments there both on and off the field.

"He understands like us all that it's very difficult in the Premier League."

Wolves currently reside in 16th place in the Premier League table with seven points, while Swansea are 13th with eight.
