Kenny Jackett: 'Carl Ikeme likely to miss Millwall match'

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett reveals that goalkeeper Carl Ikeme is unlikely to be fit for the club's final Championship game of the season against Millwall.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has confirmed that goalkeeper Carl Ikeme is unlikely to feature against Millwall on Saturday afternoon.

Ikeme missed last weekend's 1-0 win at Wigan Athletic with a knee problem, and although the 28-year-old is expected to remain absent from the squad to face the Lions, Jackett has revealed that he could return should Wolves qualify for the Championship playoffs.

At his pre-match press conference, the 53-year-old said: "Carl hasn't trained all week. If we go further with our season, then he has a chance for that.

"It's not a serious problem. He has a knock to his knee and he probably won't be in contention for tomorrow."

Wolves must record a win over Millwall and hope that results involving Ipswich Town, Derby County and Brentford go their way in order to achieve a top-six spot.
