January signing Benik Afobe says that he has "unfinished business" at Wolverhampton Wanderers after rejoining the club on loan from Bournemouth.

Forward Benik Afobe has said that he has "unfinished business" at Wolverhampton Wanderers after securing a return to his former club on Wednesday night.

During the closing minutes of deadline day, Wolves were able to complete a loan deal for the Bournemouth striker, two years after the player left Molineux for the Vitality Stadium.

Afobe netted 23 goals from 48 appearances in his first spell at Wolves, and the attacker is hopeful of helping the Championship leaders earn promotion to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old told the club's official website: "It was probably the best year of football I had. I just thank Wolves for giving me the opportunity to come back and hopefully I can score goals from now until the end of the season.

"I have unfinished business here. I've been keeping tabs on the club and the team for the whole season. I obviously still have friends here, they've been doing great.

"It's a family club so I'm just happy to be part of it again. Hopefully I can help the boys get over the line for promotion and win the league."

Afobe could feature when Wolves host Sheffield United on Saturday evening.
