Wolfsburg centre-back Naldo: 'We can beat anyone'

Wolfsburg defender Naldo praises his teammates following Wednesday's 2-0 victory over Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

Wolfsburg centre-back Naldo has claimed that his team are 'capable of beating anyone' after recording a 2-0 victory over Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday.

The German outfit entered the match as the underdogs against the 10-time European Cup winners, but first-half goals from Ricardo Rodriguez and Maximilian Arnold saw the Bundesliga side triumph on home soil.

Wolfsburg have now won their last five European games at the Volkswagen Arena and Naldo has lavished praise on his teammates following the surprise result.

"We have shown that we are a team. If we focus on us, we can beat any opponent," Naldo told reporters.

Naldo returned from a shoulder problem on Wednesday following a month on the sidelines.
