Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has claimed that avoiding relegation for the third year in a row is like winning the Premier League title for his club.
The Latics have performed last-ditch escapes in the last two seasons and have now given themselves a huge chance again with Saturday's 3-2 win over West Bromwich Albion.
Wigan came from behind twice to secure all three points at The Hawthornes and Martinez has insisted that his side are looking to "win the title" once again.
"We don't just escape. As a football club we win the title every time we stay in the league," the Spaniard told reporters.
"It's a different approach. Any other club fights to avoid something or fears to lose something; we don't.
"We don't fight to avoid relegation. It's not a negative - it's the opposite."
Wigan are currently 18th in the league, just two points from safety.
