Wigan Athletic's Uwe Rosler "very happy" with draw

Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler says that he is "very happy" to have earned a point against Burnley on Sunday.

Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler has said that he is pleased with his side's draw against Burnley in the Championship on Sunday.

The goalless draw at the DW Stadium saw the 45-year-old German remain unbeaten in the league since taking charge of the Latics earlier this month.

"I was very happy," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying. "We had to make changes once again and we've still not managed to maintain a consistent spine of the team.

"Despite that we gave one of the best teams in the league a hard time. I felt it was 50-50 - we created chances but so did they - and unfortunately we couldn't take one.

"I was happy with the application, the tempo, the energy, the willingness to attack. We looked stronger than them in the second half, but there is a reason why they are a top team. They defend very well and we didn't have enough to unlock the door."

Wigan are currently 14th in the league table with 30 points from 22 matches.
