Reece Oxford recalled from Borussia Monchengladbach loan

West Ham United manager David Moyes says that he "will take a look at" Reece Oxford after cutting short the young Englishman's loan spell with Borussia Monchengladbach.

David Moyes has confirmed that Reece Oxford has been recalled from his loan spell with Borussia Monchengladbach and could come straight into his first-team plans.

The 19-year-old is back at the London Stadium following a five-month stint at Borussia-Park, where he was meant to remain for the rest of the season.

Gladbach are reportedly hopeful of signing versatile defender Oxford on a permanent deal, as are domestic rivals RB Leipzig, but Moyes will give the England Under-20s international a chance to impress in East London.

"We will take a look at him and see how he is," he told reporters. "I hope we can help improve him. I've only just met him, but I know he is well thought of here and we will work with him."

Oxford, who featured just four times for Gladbach this term, is understood to be valued at £5.5m.
