Sam Allardyce: 'West Ham United must work harder'

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce calls on his squad to work harder following Saturday's 2-0 win over Swansea City in the Premier League.

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has urged his players to work harder following Saturday's 2-0 win over Swansea City in the Premier League.

The Hammers eased their relegation fears at Upton Park as Kevin Nolan scored twice to earn them a vital victory.

"It's all about everybody knowing that they've got to work that little bit harder," he told the club's official website.

"They then have to focus collectively on one thing and that is not letting the opposition have too many chances and defend with your lives.

"That's why we've got eleven clean sheets this year because our defending has been superb. We just need a few more goals and we'll be out of trouble no problem."

West Ham are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
