Sam Allardyce believes that keeping West Ham United in the Premier League will help him earn a new contract at the club.

Sam Allardyce has said that his future at West Ham United depends on the team's survival in the Premier League.

The Hammers manager, who is out of contract at the end of the season, will reportedly be offered a new deal once the club is guaranteed a place in the top flight next season.

Allardyce told Sky Sports News: "Staying in the Premier League is everything about my future - that is all I have had to say over the last few weeks.

"It is where I want to be and where I want to apply my skills because I like the euphoria, excitement and pressure that it brings.

"It is the best league in the world and the most entertaining, so plying your trade in it is what you want to do."

The Hammers are currently 12th in the league table, nine points clear of the relegation zone.
