The Championship's top two sides face off in a promotion six-pointer at Upton Park on Tuesday night.

The Championship's top two sides face off in a six-pointer at the right end of the table on Tuesday night.

Between them West Ham and Southampton have recorded 33 victories in the Championship this season and both sides will be desperate for another three points to edge closer to the promised land of the Premier League.

After a breakaway start to the season, Southampton's form has let up somewhat with the Hammers one point clear at the Championship's summit.

The league leaders will be without talismanic captain Kevin Nolan, who is beginning a three-match ban for a red card in the victory over Millwall, while the visiting Saints have a virtually full-strength squad for Nigel Adkins to choose from.

Southampton will be looking to end an unsavoury away record this season, which has seen them fail to claim three points at any of the top 14 clubs, while West Ham have won four on the bounce in front of their own fans.

Current Form:

West Ham: LWWWLW
Southampton: LWLDDW

Possible lineups:

West Ham: Green; Faubert, Reid, Tomkins, McCartney; Collison, Noble, Faye, Lansbury; Baldock, Cole

Southampton: Davis; Richardson, Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox; Schneiderlin, Cork, Guly, Lallana; Sharp, Lambert

Sports Mole says: 2-1
