West Ham United's Winston Reid "devastated" by ankle injury

Winston Reid says that he is "devastated" to miss West Ham United's Premier League clash against Norwich City due to an ankle injury.

West Ham United defender Winston Reid has admitted that he is "devastated" to be ruled out of this weekend's Premier League clash against Norwich City.

The club confirmed yesterday that Reid suffered an ankle injury during a training session on Tuesday, resulting in his absence from Saturday's game as well as New Zealand's World Cup playoff matches against Mexico.

Reid wrote on Twitter: "I'm devastated about missing the games with country and club but these things happen some times."

The club have not stated how long they expect Reid to be sidelined for.
