Slaven Bilic: 'We deserved all three points'

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic says that his team "deserved" to beat Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic has insisted that his team "deserved" to collect all three points from Saturday afternoon's Premier League clash with basement side Sunderland.

A controversial 94th-minute winner from Winston Reid secured all the points for the Hammers, who have now been victorious in their last two in the league after a difficult start to the season.

Sunderland boss David Moyes fumed that West Ham's goal was offside in his post-match comments, but Bilic is confident that the correct team emerged victorious at the London Stadium.

"It was a dramatic end. It was a good game of football. Our start was by far the best start we've made this season. We played good football and should have been one or two goals up, but we didn't take the chances that we created," Bilic told Sky Sports News.

"They came back and the second half was very open. We pushed up and they had some good counter-attacks and our goalkeeper made a terrific save.

"In the last 15 minutes we changed it a little bit with a couple of strikers and got some good set-pieces and from one of those we scored. We deserved it, just. Overall, over the course of the 90 minutes, I thought we were better."

Next up for West Ham is a League Cup clash at home to Chelsea on Wednesday night.
