Sam Allardyce calm over future with West Ham United

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce insists that he is not worried about the speculation surrounding his future at the club.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has insisted that he has no concerns about his expiring contract.

Reports have suggested that the Hammers are considering a move for Real Sociedad boss David Moyes or Besiktas head coach Slaven Bilic as they hold off on offering a new deal to Allardyce, whose side are currently eighth in the Premier League.

However, Allardyce claims that he understands the situation and will not put pressure on the club's hierarchy to clarify his position.

"I have never pushed to get them to say what's going on in the contract situation because they made that perfectly clear since day one, when I joined the football club," the West Ham boss told reporters.

"It was the same when my contract ran out last time, I waited until the end of the season. We've stayed in the Premier League and it'll be the same this time.

"We all understand the situation internally, which is the most important thing."

West Ham return to action against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
