West Bromwich Albion are reportedly closing in on a deal for former Bury defender Saul Shotton.
The highly-rated 18-year-old had made six senior appearances for the Shakers after joining them from Stoke City in 2017, two of which came before his 17th birthday.
Shotton and the rest of Bury's contracted players became free agents following their expulsion from the EFL last month.
The defender featured for a Baggies second-string side last week against Mansfield, and now Sky Sports News reports that he is close to signing a two-year deal at The Hawthorns.
Shotton had been the subject of bids by both Leeds United and Watford last season, with the Whites again showing an interest following his departure from Bury.
