West Bromwich Albion defender Gareth McAuley has revealed that he is delighted with his side as they stuck in to earn a point in their clash with Fulham.
The Northern Ireland international scored an injury-time equaliser to secure his side's second point of the season at Craven Cottage.
McAuley told the club's official website: "It was great to score in injury time. We needed it. It was important we got off the mark today. It's a monkey off our back.
"We've been putting the effort in, today was a better performance especially as we were away from home. We knew we had to stay in the game and we did that. We hung in there and in the second half we had the better of the chances.
"It gives us a platform to build from going into next week's home game with Sunderland. We need to take the positives from this game and grow in confidence."
West Brom are 19th in the Premier League after four games this season.
