Nacer Chadli 'left Tottenham Hotspur for first-team action'

West Bromwich Albion attacker Nacer Chadli says that a lack of first-team football forced him to leave Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

Nacer Chadli has revealed that he decided to leave Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window as he was tired of being a bit-part player at White Hart Lane.

The Belgian international was in and out of the Spurs XI last season, but has been a regular at West Bromwich Albion this term - scoring four goals in seven Premier League appearances for the Baggies.

Chadli has said that he wanted to play for a club where the manager 'believed in him' and has now found that at The Hawthorns with Tony Pulis.

"My priority is to play every week, to find consistency and to have a manager who believes in me," Chadli told Sport/Foot Magazine.

"I immediately had a good feeling [about West Brom]. I wanted to stay in the Premier League. It's the most watched league in the world. It really is the best playing here: the intensity, the overall quality, the fact anyone can beat anyone; we saw it with Leicester last year. It really is an incredible league."

Chadli joined Tottenham from Dutch outfit Twente in the summer of 2013.
