West Bromwich Albion's Chris Brunt 'ruled out for six weeks with knee injury'

West Bromwich Albion captain Chris Brunt is reportedly ruled out for six weeks with knee ligament damage.

West Bromwich Albion head coach Pepe Mel could be without captain Chris Brunt for the next six weeks due to a knee injury.

The 29-year-old suffered the blow when he twisted awkwardly during the Baggies' 3-0 defeat to Manchester United last weekend.

According to the Express & Star, Brunt could miss West Brom's next seven fixtures as he begins recovery from knee ligament damage.

Mel could also be without midfielder Claudio Yacob and right-back Steven Reid for this weekend's match against Swansea City due to injuries.
