Watford have reportedly indicated that they may be prepared to meet a release clause in the contract of West Bromwich Albion forward Salomon Rondon.
The Baggies are likely to be relegated from the Premier League in the next two weeks and it would lead to Rondon becoming available for a fee of £16.5m.
That will likely lead to the Venezuelan international attracting interest from across Europe but according to The Sun, Watford currently lead the race for the 28-year-old's signature.
Last week, Hornets head coach Javi Gracia indicated that Andre Gray could leave Vicarage Road at the end of the season, while the future of Stefano Okaka remains in doubt.
During his time at The Hawthorns, Rondon has scored 24 goals in 106 appearances in the top flight.
