Alessandro Diamanti 'passes Watford medical'

Guangzhou Evergrande striker Alessandro Diamanti will sign for Watford after completing a medical, according to a report.

Alessandro Diamanti has reportedly passed a medical at Watford ahead of a proposed move to the newly-promoted Premier League side.

The Guangzhou Evergrande striker is said to have opted for a switch to Vicarage Road over fellow top-flight club Aston Villa.

Watford have already signed 10 new players so far this summer, but according to Sky Sports News the spending spree is now set to continue.

It is suggested that Diamanti, who has previously spent a season at West Ham United, will sign on the dotted line in the coming days.
