Watford come back from 2-0 down to beat Burnley 3-2 at Vicarage Road.

Watford showed fighting spirit in a 3-2 win over Burnley at Vicarage Road, coming back from 2-0 down to secure the win.

The first effort came on four minutes, Edgar with a close range header which was saved by Tomasz Kuszscak.

At the other end on six minutes, a short back pass by Ben Mee allowed Deeney in on goal but Grant made the block on the edge of the box.

Watford began to put Burnley's defence under pressure and Mee's headed clearance at the far post denied the home side on 34 minutes. Minutes later, Grant denied Watford again when Buaben's deflected shot nearly crept under the bar.

The first goal came on 41 minutes when Jay Rodriguez put Burnley 1-0 up for his 20th goal of the season. The striker took advantage of Mariappa's weak header and controlled the ball on his chest before blasting into the bottom corner.

Burnley went in at the break leading despite pressure from Watford.

The second half began and Burnley doubled their lead on 50 minutes thanks to an own goal from Nosworthy. The Watford defender put the ball in his own net from Wallace's free kick.

Four minutes later, Nosworthy made amends by getting Watford on the scoresheet. The centre half headed in from a corner to get his side back in the game.

Nosworthy came close again but was denied by a goal line clearance from Mee, after another dangerous corner into the box.

Watford continued to push for the equaliser and finally got it through Kacaniklic who fired in to the far corner after Garner had flicked it on from a quick throw.

Buoyed by the goal, Watford soon added another through Troy Deeney on 75 minutes. The striker had a simple finish to turn the game around after a corner dropped to his feet inside the six yard box.

Watford saw out the game to take all three points after an impressive comeback.
