Gianfranco Zola has revealed that Watford have set their sights on a place in Europe.

The Hornets can secure a return to the Premier League when they face Crystal Palace in the Championship playoff final.

"The owners want Watford to become an established team in the Premier League and with time our ambition is to be a European team," Sky Sports News quotes the Watford manager as saying.

"There is a long way to go. Don't forget that we are in the Championship, but that is the type of people [the owners] are."

The playoff final takes place at Wembley on Monday.
