Quique Flores 'excited' to see Watford compete at Wembley

Quique Flores says that seeing Watford reach the final four of the FA Cup in his first season in English football is an "exciting" moment for him.

Watford boss Quique Flores has admitted that he is relishing the chance to take charge of an FA Cup semi-final tie at Wembley after overcoming Arsenal.

The Hornets stunned the current holders on Sunday afternoon by picking up a 2-1 victory at the Emirates Stadium.

Watford, who last reached the final four of the competition in 2007, will now compete at the national stadium next month for a place in the showpiece final.

Speaking after his side's triumph, Flores is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "It was difficult in the first half, we tried to contain Arsenal and then try to create attempts and play well.

"In the last two months we were being competitive, but not winning. I feel fantastic. I'm really happy for the players and the fans. They follow us and it is an amazing prize for them.

"I have memories on television of the old Wembley and watching in Spain and seeing the finals of this competition. I've just arrived in England, and to get there is exciting."

Watford had previously failed to beat Arsenal in any competition in 28 years.
