Wales announce Mexico friendly

Chris Coleman's Wales will take on Mexico in a friendly later this year.

The Welsh Football Association have confirmed that they will be playing Mexico in a friendly on Sunday, May 27.

The match will be played at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

"This will be a great opportunity for the team to test themselves against one of the best teams from the Americas," said Wales manager Chris Coleman.

"Mexico has plenty of top-class players and the way that the side adapts to the different style of play of our opponents will be interesting to watch.

"I am very happy for us to secure the game as we continue our World Cup [qualifying] preparations."

The last meeting between the two nations ended in a 2-0 win for the Mexicans.
