Thierry Henry: 'Wales could win Euro 2016 if they qualify'

Former Arsenal and France striker Thierry Henry believes that Wales have a chance to win Euro 2016 if they manage to qualify for next summer's finals.

Thierry Henry has claimed that Wales have a chance to win Euro 2016 if they manage to qualify for next summer's finals in France.

The Dragons are three points clear at the top of Group B with four games remaining after beating Belgium 1-0.

Henry, who won the European Championships with France in 2000, told BBC Sport: "They have an amazing chance to qualify. Look what happened back in 2004. Nobody expected Greece to win it but they did.

"If they do manage to [qualify], then they need to go to France with the mentality and desire to win the competition. Otherwise they might as well stay at home and not bother qualifying."

Wales have not qualified for a major football tournament since the 1958 World Cup.
