Getafe increased Villarreal's relegation worries with a 2-1 win over the Yellow Submarine at El Madrigal tonight.
The visitors went ahead after six minutes when Diego Castro finished past Moya in the Villarreal goal.
The hosts had a chance to get back into the game soon after, but former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Borja Valero missed a penalty.
Villarreal again had the opportunity to make amends when they were awarded another spot kick in first-half stoppage time.
This time Nilmar stepped up to convert from 12 yards and level the match at 1-1.
However Abdelaziz Barrada netted Getafe a winner on 72 minutes to see them climb to 13th in La Liga and leave Villarreal just one position above the bottom three.
