Nuno: 'Break has come at a good time'

Valencia boss Nuno admits that his team need to improve after the international break following a disappointing opening to the new La Liga campaign.

Valencia boss Nuno has vowed to use the upcoming international break to "find solutions" to his team's problems in the early stages of the new campaign.

Los Che finished fourth in La Liga last term, but they have only won two of their seven league games this season and currently sit down in 10th position.

Sunday's 3-1 defeat at Athletic Bilbao was Valencia's second loss in the league this season, but Nuno has vowed to "work more" to make it a successful end to 2015.

"We had a good first half, but after we went ahead, we conceded a goal from a strategic piece of play – one we prepared for," he told reporters.

"The second half went well and the first few minutes were ours, but again we failed.

"We'll use the international break to work more, find solutions and prepare for what lies ahead with determination. [Athletic] are very powerful physically and were very direct at times. We weren't able to thwart them."

Valencia have also only scored four league goals this season. Only Malaga have fewer at this stage with three
