Nigel Adkins eager to continue business in transfer market

Reading manager Nigel Adkins confirms that he is still looking to bring more players to the club this summer.

Reading manager Nigel Adkins has revealed that he is still looking to conclude some deals before the end of the transfer window.

Adkins refused to guarantee that the club would bring in more players as the deadline quickly approaches, but admits that the Royals are still looking to strengthen as they target promotion from the Championship.

"We had a long period without positive activity on the transfer front, then we've have managed to bring four players in," the Royals boss told the club's website. "I'd like to think we'll still be active, in fact I know we are being active, but you've still got to get them over the line.

"Conversations are being had, we're looking to keep improving the group which is important."

Reading have signed Oliver Norwood, Anton Ferdinand, Jamie Mackie and Simon Cox this summer.
