Deadline day key events
Carragher slams "selfish" Salah after Liverpool contract comments
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been accused of 'thinking about himself' by fellow club legend Jamie Carragher.
The 32-year-old's contract situation at Anfield has been a hot topic for debate since it became apparent that the Merseyside giants are in no rush to extend his terms past 2025.
With Salah able to negotiate with foreign clubs from the start of January, the expectation has been that the situation will be resolved before the end of the year.
However, after Sunday's 3-2 victory at Southampton, Salah surprisingly went in-depth regarding the situation that is currently ongoing behind the scenes.
Liverpool in 'positive' contract talks with Salah's agent despite surprise comments
Liverpool have reportedly held "positive" contract talks with the agent of Mohamed Salah, despite comments suggesting otherwise.
On Sunday afternoon, the Egypt international played an influential role as the Merseyside giants recorded a 3-2 victory at Southampton.
However, rather than the focus being on Arne Slot's side moving eight points clear in the Premier League table, there has been a different topic of conversation over the past 24 hours.
Salah has claimed that he is currently more likely to leave Liverpool than stay put, a consequence of the club's hierarchy failing to present a formal offer of a new contract.
Untouchable? Arsenal 'set to reject' Real Madrid approach for key defender
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to reject any offers for William Saliba, who is attracting interest from Real Madrid.
The 23-year-old has been a stalwart in defence for the Gunners in recent times, helping them to challenge Pep Guardiola's Manchester City for the Premier League title.
Saliba made his 11th start of the top-flight term on Saturday afternoon, when Mikel Arteta's men smashed Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the Emirates.
A first-half strike from Bukayo Saka had the hosts ahead at half time, before goals from Thomas Partey and youngster Ethan Nwaneri secured the victory in the second period.
Feeling blue: Man City to thwart Chelsea swoop for £20m PL star?
Manchester City are reportedly involved in the race for the services of Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, with Chelsea keen on the player.
The 21-year-old has made a sensational start to the 2024-25 campaign for the Tractor Boys in the top flight, scoring six goals across 12 league fixtures.
Delap almost found the net once again on Sunday afternoon against Ruben Amorim's Manchester United, however Andre Onana made an excellent close-range stop in the first half.
The former Man City youngster has nearly equalled his goalscoring tally of the previous term, when he managed eight strikes for Championship outfit Hull City.
Besiktas 'plotting move' to sign Fulham attacker in January
Turkish giants Besiktas are reportedly interested in signing Fulham winger Adama Traore in the January transfer window.
Traore is currently in his second season as a Fulham player after signing on a free transfer in the summer of 2023 following the expiry of his Wolverhampton Wanderers contract.
The 28-year-old experienced a difficult first season at Craven Cottage, with injuries restricting him to 17 Premier League appearances.
Fortunately, Traore has managed to stay injury-free during the current campaign, giving him the chance to register one goal and three assists in 12 Premier League appearances.
"It was the right moment": Ex-Liverpool defender explains why he left Anfield
Sepp van den Berg has suggested that he has no regrets over leaving Liverpool for Brentford during the summer transfer window.
In 2019, the Merseyside giants made the decision to pay a reported £4m to sign the then-PEC Zwolle youngster, the hope being that he would develop into a first-team player.
However, in five years contracted to Liverpool, Van den Berg failed to make a Premier League appearance with three of his four outings coming in the EFL Cup.
The appointment of fellow Dutchman Arne Slot made it plausible that Van den Berg could have been kept in the senior ranks for 2024-25, particularly on the back of 33 appearances for Mainz 05 in last season's Bundesliga.
Man City 'identify two midfield targets' ahead of January transfer window
Manchester City have reportedly identified Ederson and Martin Zubimendi as top targets to bolster their midfield in January.
Following a fifth straight defeat in all competitions on Saturday, going down to a shock 4-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, Pep Guardiola appears committed to strengthening in the middle of the pitch as soon as possible.
The effect that Rodri's possible season-ending knee injury is having on the team is well-documented, and despite their expensively-assembled squad, City are slightly light on options in midfield.
With Mateo Kovacic also out for the next few weeks, Ilkay Gundogan was partnered by young Rico Lewis in the engine room at the weekend, as City were mauled on home soil.
"I'm not too obsessed": De Bruyne delivers fresh Man City contract update
Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne has provided a fresh update on his contract situation at the Etihad Stadium.
The 33-year-old playmaker has earned legendary status on the blue side of Manchester and has been a key cog in a Man City side that has won 18 trophies during his time at the club, including six Premier League titles and one Champions League.
De Bruyne is Man City's longest-serving player within Pep Guardiola's current first-team squad having entered his 10th season at the club.
However, the Belgian now has less than eight months remaining on his contract at the Etihad and speculation over his long-term future is rife amid reported interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and MLS.
Juventus eyeing audacious swap deal for Manchester United player?
Juventus have reportedly considered an audacious swap deal that could see Douglas Luiz move to Manchester United in return for Joshua Zirkzee.
Luiz only moved to Turin over the summer, signing from Aston Villa, who had to sell to ensure they stayed in line regarding PSR constraints.
Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea both moved to Villa Park as part of the deal, but have both gone back out on loan, with Amadou Onana the man who has come in to replace Luiz at the club.
Zirkzee is also a recent recruit, having only joined Man United from Bologna in the summer in a deal worth roughly £36.5m.
Silva lining: Fulham 'join Leicester in race' for 'unhappy' Brighton striker
Fulham have reportedly joined Leicester City in the race for Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson.
The 20-year-old has been attracting interest from the Foxes in recent weeks, while also being linked to Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal.
Ferguson has failed to cement a regular spot in the Brighton XI at the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign, scoring just one goal across seven top-flight appearances.
The forward is a regular on the international stage, though, starting twice for the Republic of Ireland this month, finding the net in the UEFA Nations League success over Finland.
"More out than in" - "Disappointed" Salah makes huge Liverpool contract revelation
Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah has dropped the biggest bombshell yet over his future at Anfield, revealing that he is currently "more out than in" as he awaits an extension offer.
It is an open secret that the 32-year-old - who was on target twice in Sunday's 3-2 come-from-behind win over Southampton at St Mary's - is out of contract at the end of the season and can talk to foreign clubs from January onwards.
Despite the unwelcome distraction regarding his future, Salah is still making nets ripple for fun in a Liverpool shirt and has contributed 12 goals and 10 assists from 18 matches in all tournaments this season.
Salah's double over the Saints propelled Liverpool eight points clear of Manchester City at the summit of the Premier League table, but the Egypt international made a massive revelation about his future to reporters after the game.
Can Chelsea exploit Barcelona's financial issues to secure defensive duo?
Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona duo Ronald Araujo and Jules Kounde during the January window.
The Blues have enjoyed a productive start to the 2024-25 term under the stewardship of Enzo Maresca, who jumped ship from Leicester City over the summer.
Following the international break, Chelsea returned to club action and winning ways on Saturday afternoon, beating the relegation-threatened Foxes at the King Power Stadium.
Goals either side of the half-time whistle from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez secured maximum points for the Blues, with Jordan Ayew pulling a goal back late on for the East Midlanders.
New guard? Man City 'handed boost' in pursuit of Bournemouth defender
Manchester City have reportedly been handed a boost in the pursuit of Bournemouth defender Illya Zabarnyi.
The 22-year-old is beginning to impress some of the biggest clubs in England, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur also said to be keen on the player.
Zabarnyi has started all 12 Premier League matches for Bournemouth at the start of the 2024-25 term, helping the Cherries to stay away from trouble at the foot of the division.
Despite his tender years, the centre-back also possesses considerable international pedigree, having represented Ukraine on 45 occasions since making his debut in October 2020.
Nine-figure sale? Arsenal, Chelsea learn 'mammoth' Isak asking price
Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly been informed of Newcastle United's asking price for Alexander Isak.
Following the November international break, the 25-year-old will be back in action for the Magpies once again as they welcome West Ham United to the North-East in the Premier League on Monday night.
Isak has made a productive start to the 2024-25 league term under the stewardship of Eddie Howe, scoring four goals and providing two assists across nine league matches.
The striker has also performed admirably on the international stage, helping Sweden to secure promotion to UEFA Nations League B with wins over Slovakia and Azerbaijan this month.
