Giampiero Ventura upset with Torino display

Torino manager Giampiero Ventura says that his team can have no excuses for their poor display against Hellas Verona, despite fighting back to earn a 2-2 draw.

Torino manager Giampiero Ventura has said that his team's display in their 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona this afternoon was their worst of the season.

The club came from behind twice to grab a point at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi and keep their unbeaten run in Serie A alive, but Ventura admitted that he was left unimpressed.

"It's good that we responded but compared to the other comebacks, this was our worst performance", he told reporters.

"The injury to [Danilo] Avelar didn't help but there are no excuses for playing so badly in the first half."

Torino are currently second in the Serie A table, level on seven points with leaders Chievo.
