Ryan Giggs says that winning an Olympic gold medal would rank highly on his list of career achievements.

Team GB men's football captain Ryan Giggs has said that winning an Olympic gold medal would rank highly on his list of career achievements.

Giggs has never taken part in a major international tournament with Wales and Giggs admits that gold in the global competition would be "special."

"I don't like to prioritise medals because every single one means something special," Sky Sports News quotes Giggs as saying.

"Of course, this would be different because you never thought you'd be competing in an Olympics.

"To win a gold medal would be special."

Team GB's first Olympics fixture is at Old Trafford against Senegal on July 26.
